If your messages are showing as 'failed' or not being delivered, here are the most common causes and solutions.
24-Hour Window Expired
WhatsApp requires the customer to have messaged you within the last 24 hours for free-form messages. If the window has expired, the inbox will show a yellow warning banner. Solution: Use an approved template message by clicking 'Send Template' in the contact details sidebar.
Invalid Phone Number
The contact's phone number may be incorrectly formatted. Ensure the number includes the correct country code (e.g., 91 for India) and does not contain any spaces or special characters.
WhatsApp API Rate Limits
Meta imposes rate limits on the WhatsApp Business API. If you send too many messages in a short period, some may fail. Wait a few minutes and retry. Check the error message for specific rate limit details.
Access Token Expired
Your WhatsApp Business API access token may have expired. Go to WhatsApp > Accounts, edit your account, and update the access token with a fresh one from Meta's Business Manager.
No Approved Templates
If you are trying to message someone outside the 24-hour window and have no approved templates, you will not be able to send any messages. Create a Utility category template and wait for it to be approved by Meta.
Subscription Expired
If your Chatber subscription has expired, all messaging features are disabled. Renew your subscription from the Subscription page to resume messaging.
